Program Director’s Welcome Message

Program Director profile

Dear Students,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the Applied AI in Engineering Summer Institute at UC Berkeley. This summer, you will hear from faculty from one of the top engineering programs in the world about how they are using AI in their research and work. They will also share insights about the future of various engineering fields and the impact AI will have. You will meet other like-minded peers, work on a capstone presentation, and experience life on the UC Berkeley campus. Please carefully review the information here, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I look forward to welcoming you in person.

Alex Philips
Program Director
